Brigitte Troyon Borgeaud
Brigitte Troyon, a trained lawyer specialized in human rights law, joined the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in March 1990 as a delegate. She worked in different conflict zones throughout the world before heading back to the Headquarters in which she has occupied various operational, HR and Law and Policy positions. Early 2015, she was appointed head of the Archives and Information Management Department of the ICRC. She has since then supervised institutional projects and initiatives aiming at improving the way ICRC manages its information throughout the world, including its more than 150 years old Archives and Library Collections. In 2016, she spearheaded the review of ICRC's rules on access to its Archives in light with ICRC's new data protection rules. Early 2020, the ICRC’s Governance board adopted a new Strategy on Archives, Records and Library collections, which aims at advancing knowledge by embracing the digital transformation.
